the trouble with social bookmarking, forum and blog commenting is that due to spamming, most of them have resorted to 'nofollow' :(
the ones that are dofollow have very strict rules- if you are willing to spend the time to make quality comments and contributions, there is no source better than these to bring in quality comments. To detect nofollow blogs/forums i have downloaded a plugin in firefox that highlights nofollow comments.
