Dmoz has been promoting the use of their data by making it available to user to build solutions and tools so that one can use this data openly and display on their websites. But off late it is being noticed that a lot of these websites are being pro actively being banned by google and have gone low on serps due to duplicate content penalty.

Although one knows this as a fact that Google itself runs a version of the Dmoz directory. Now is this right on Googles part to do this kind of discrimination.

What ever be the case but Guys, It is advisable to stop duplicating this data or else you will have your website in problem at least on google Serps.

My personal advise would be, that you could use this data only for directory structures and not for listings or else your website could bein real trouble.

Best of Luck in case you already have these websites launched and running Dmoz Listings. See if you can manage creating fresh data for your website.

Cheers!!
