Your website ranks well on Google.com? Think Again
Always being a local searcher can keep you limited to the search results that Google is displaying world wide to different locations.
For example: If you are from India and you are using google.com to study your rankings globally and you find your website ranking in top 10. It is most likely that your website will not be ranking the same in USA or UK or Canada or for that matter any other area of the world.
Google is producing results based on the location the results are being searched from, probably based on 3 factors:
- User preferences of the region / Location
- Domain TLD’s
- Hosting location
- Backlinks from the location based websites
Although the above factors are very debatable but one can keep the above aspects in their seo strategy to move in the right direction. As they say, shoot all the arrow you have you are bound to hit the target.
